PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION (PSI)​​

Pre-Shipment Inspection in China is done when the production is finished or is about at least 80% finished. PSI can be done both before and after packing based on the industry in question. This step helps businesses ensure that their suppliers have maintained all the quality standards that were agreed during the beginning of the association. This step also helps businesses avoid losses that might be incurred because of the bad packaging and non-compliance of labeling and bar-coding standards.

In order to conduct a pre-shipment inspection, our inspectors at OCQ visit the manufacturer’s site and check random samples using predefined statistical tools and checklists. Production inspection in China is focused on checking the samples based on preset quality standards along with an industry wise international quality checklist. In China, this Pre-Shipment Inspection is also known as Product Inspection.
